Brincar, jogar e aprender: a gramática da língua inglesa na perspectiva da ludicidade

Abstract

Esta pesquisa está inserida na temática da educação por meio da ludicidade e trabalha com o seguinte problema: em que medida a ludicidade pode contribuir para aumentar o espectro do conhecimento gramatical nas aulas de língua inglesa no ensino fundamental II? A fim de responder a essa questão, traçou-se como objetivo avaliar os efeitos de um caderno de atividades lúdicas no aprendizado de questões gramaticais da referida disciplina, bem como seu impacto no campo motivacional. O presente estudo, que é qualitativo e de caráter experimental, parte das premissas teóricas da ludicidade no processo educacional à luz de Kishimoto e Luckesi e do ensino de gramática da língua inglesa fundamentada em Ur. Os participantes da pesquisa são discentes do nono ano de uma escola municipal localizada em Niterói, no Rio de Janeiro, e docentes de língua inglesa. Houve a aplicação de testes e questionários com o intuito de identificar as maiores dificuldades gramaticais dos estudantes e aprimorar o produto educacional em construção respectivamente. No desfecho da pesquisa constatamos que não houve contribuições significativas no que diz respeito à aquisição dos conteúdos gramaticais de língua inglesa porém notamos o entusiasmo dos discentes ao realizar as atividades lúdicas, levamos em consideração o feedback dos docentes participantes e defendemos o uso e a divulgação do produto educacional observando seu caráter motivador

This research is inserted in the thematic of education through playfulness and works with the following problem: in which way can playfulness contribute to increase the spectrum of grammar knowledge in middle school English classes? In order to answer this question, it was traced as objective to evaluate the effects of a playful activities notebook in the learning of grammar issues of the mentioned subject, as well as its impact in motivational field. The present survey, which is qualitative and experimental, starts from the theoretical assumptions of playfulness in educational process in the light of Kishimoto and Luckesi and from the teaching of English language grammar based in Ur. The participants of the research are ninth grade students from a municipal school located in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, and EFL teachers. There were tests and forms application with the intention of identifying the students’ major grammar difficulties and to improve the educational product in construction respectively. At the end of the research, we realised that there were not meaningful contributions regarding the acquisition of English grammar contents however we noticed students’ excitement when performing the playful activities, we considered the teachers’ feedback and we support the use and the propagation of the educational product observing its motivational features.
