Simetrias e movimentos rígidos no plano nos anos finais do ensino fundamental

Abstract

Simetria é um conceito muito importante, pois está presente em diversas áreas tais como: Artes, Sociologia, Ciências e Matemática. Entre as simetrias mais fáceis de serem compreendidas temos as que são obtidas através de movimentos rígidos no plano. Deve-se isso ao fato de terem uma interpretação geométrica e seus efeitos poderem ser ilustrados usando figuras. Este trabalho inicia-se por um estudo dos movimentos rígidos: reflexão, translação, rotação e reflexão com deslizamento, suas definições e suas propriedades, tendo em vista sua indiscutível importância para a geometria plana. Dando continuidade ao embasamento teórico desta pesquisa, o conteúdo será adaptado e trabalhado com alunos do sétimo ano do Ensino Fundamental da rede municipal de ensino, através do uso de espelhos de maneira que o conteúdo se mostre atraente ao aluno. Será mostrado que as simetrias podem se apresentar de diversas formas na natureza ou em criações do homem, e que as mesmas se fazem bastante presentes no nosso dia a dia. Durante o decorrer da pesquisa, os alunos responderão a algumas folhas de atividades. A seguir, lhes será solicitado que busquem ilustrações que os remetam a exemplos de simetrias em revistas e jornais a fim de verificar se realmente absorveram os conceitos apresentados. Os exemplos por eles escolhidos serão utilizados para confeccionar um cartaz.Symmetry is a very important concept because it is present in several areas such as: Arts, Sociology, Sciences and Mathematics. Among the easier to understand symmetries, there are the ones obtained by rigid motions in the plane. This is due to the fact that they have a geometric interpretation and its effects can be illustrated using figures. This work begins with a study of the rigid motions: reflection, translation, rotation and reflection with sliding, its definitions and its properties, considering its undisputed importance for flat geometry. Continuing the theoretical basis of this research, the content will be adapted and worked with seventh-year primary school students of the municipal school network, through the use of mirrors in a way that the content is attractive to the student. It will be shown that the symmetries can present themselves in diverse forms in the nature or creations of the man, and that they become very present in our day to day. During the course of the research, students will respond to some activity sheets. Next, they will be asked to look for illustrations that refer them to examples of symmetries in magazines and newspapers to check if they really have absorbed the concepts presented. The examples they choose will be used to make a poster.
